In regard to clubs and myself. In the late eighties I started hanging out with the 'bad' kids. Goths and miscreants, I wanted to see more than Greg's basement and my bedroom. I declined doing drugs hanging out with these 'bad' kids during that time but, learned a lot about partying. We sometimes would pack an old car full of us and go to a teen dance club called Cracker Jacks here in Canton. We would drive from Alliance to here usually with a guy in the trunk. If you brought a cassette that was cued to your favorite song the dj would play it during his set and then you went back to the booth to pick it back up. I usually brought my Paul's Boutique cassette with me. I know a bit late for that. Well I was pretty sheltered until I was eighteen. After moving to Kent I would go to Hip-Hop and Alternative night at the Robin Hood on Main street. The same ruled applied with the cassettes but, this time is was Fugazi 'Repeater' and Lucky Strike cigarettes. Later we would go to different clubs some back here in Canton and even to Cleveland to the Metropolis and other clubs. They played a lot of techno but, we still tried to breakdance. After awhile a lot of bands popped up and two clubs in Kent were Peabody's and Peabody's Down Under (hence the name of this mixtape)where djs and bands could play. Acoustic Hookah stayed in my drive-way once. Peabody's Down Under soon changed it's name to Ozzy's and after awhile the bars just became more of thing for me and my friends. Letting the club scene go to the younger crowd, fraternity and, sorority boys and girls. I have always been more of a radio type dj to be honest. There were many other clubs and concert venues I went to afterwards but, now I'm an old fogey and I stay at home like a hermit. "I got the jammie but, I don't got the permit." -Beastie Boys
