Description

Aside a couple of songs that might be put into the country category by some folks. There is no country on this dj set. The reason I named it such is that the other night (pretty late) I went out to the porch to draw. I put a YouTube mix of 60s jazz, soul, and funk on. About four or five minutes into it and me getting focused to draw an advertisement came on about race car driving and this went on for at least five to ten minutes. I huffed frustrated and got up from my work to skip it. I sat back down and got focused again. About five minutes passed and another commercial came on about Hot Country and country music. I ignored it until this commercial went on and a on. I got up turned off the device and went to bed. The next day I thought about it. When I listen to music on YouTube usually it's commercials about cars, insurance and other quick commercials I can deal with. Hell, even the depressing cancer center on isn't that obtrusive. What was YouTube or even Google trying to say or do with these long commercials interrupting what I wanted to listen to with commercials that had no relevance to me or the music I was listening to. Was it part of the control system to get me to go to bed. Or, even deeper if I listen to country music people will like me. As though I have no integrity. Not that some country isn't good. Scott Biram, Eddie Spagetti, etc... So, out of humor and frustration this is Hot Country 2. Which again has very little to do with country music. "Burn Nashville to the ground." -Mojo Nixon
