We (who's we?) decided to take you to the funk and, then the psychedelic and, then the voodoo, hoodoo, guru.
This is not a tribute to Mr. Ike but, an interpretation of a photograph of Mr. Ike and, apologies. Here is an explanation of Mr. Ike:
Isaac "Mr. Ike" Edwards, 94, the oldest known living Mardi Gras Indian, has become an ancestor. The news was announced 7/6/17 by the Mardi Gras Indian Hall of Fame.
He was Flag Boy for the Creole Wild West, the Golden Blades, and the White Eagles, which he co-founded. He also served as Second Chief of the White Eagles for one year, but wanted to be remembered as a Flag Boy.
Arrangements have not yet been announced.
