In 1997 until 1998; I worked at a plastics factory. This is how my addiction started. I first started buying plastic tubs at the factory store. Then I began collecting Tuppperware and other plastic containers. I was stealing them from friends and family members. Then I met a girl she had the mainline to my addiction. She would save and wash plastic forks, knives, sporks, spoons, you name it. It all came to a hilt in 2013 when I grabbed a butter knife from my silverware drawer and it had a white plastic handle on it. This brought me back to the childhood trauma of eating cereal out of a white plastic Dukes of Hazzard bowl with the fat face of Boss Hogg looking at me as if to say, I own you now. The therapy is helping but, plastic is everywhere and readily available. If you have a plastic addiction please call, 1-800-PLSTICAD or consult you local addiction program. There is help!
