Job’s trials were so upsetting, some theologians have suggested his story is a fictional parable designed to help us think about suffering. Whether that’s true or not, one thing is certain - When we read the book of Job, our minds should be drawn beyond Job to Jesus, who’s suffering purchased our redemption.
