Hoofbeats Music joined forces with the slovakian one and only
force to be truly reckoned with - just twenty-two-year-old
Piešťany native Changing Faces! Ema became a part of the HB
Music crew last year and this is her first release exclusive to
the label. The newest release which is comprised of two tracks
marks a rather significant shift in musical characterization of
Hoofbeats Music so far, from hard-hitting and sometimes downright
evil and grim neurofunk tunes to more melodic, soulful ones. Both
new tracks have been mastered by the mighty Break himself which is
an honour in and of itself, with Monochrome, one spectacular half
of the release, being a charming liquidized asset with soul
caressing vocals and Hypnotic, the second and none the less
spectacular half, bringing about the mainstream echoes of
Dimension, Ema's biggest inspiration. The release clearly
showcases Ema's versatility and pure talent as well as courage of
Hoofbeats Music to abandon safe old neurofunk roads in search of
the new as yet unexplored ones. Ema may be young but she has been
a staple in the drum and bass community for a few years now and
the overall quality of her newest release is a testament to this
very fact.
