Literal
Straightforward, plain, common language
Unless clear that figurative language is called for

Historical – documented records, timelines, eye witness accounts
Genesis 7: 1 – 24
Genesis 7:1 NKJV Then the LORD said to Noah, "Come into the ark, you and all your household, because I have seen that you are righteous before Me in this generation.
2 Peter 3:8–9; Hebrews 9:27 NLT;2 Peter 3:7, 10 -13; Genesis 7:11-12, 24
God remembered Noah – vs. 1
Mountain tops exposed vs. 5
Psalm 104:6 – 9
The Ark Rested – Noah Leaves
Genesis 8:20-22
Future Judgment
Earth destroyed by fire – 2 Peter 3
Certain – all of the promises of God are yes & amen
There is salvation from the judgment to come
Jesus Christ is our ark – are you in The Ark?
Notice, it was the ARK that did the saving.
“an ark for the saving” – only one
The Ark went through the flood and took it on for them
They were taken safely through the judgment of the flood because the Ark could overcome it.
