A. Satan challenges God's Word

B. Satan challenges God's Love
1.Would a good God keep something from you?
2.Turns God’s generous invitation to a negative prohibition.
C. Satan denied God's Word
1.“You won't die!”
2.We live in a day of denial of God’s Word
The Sin
Genesis 3:6
A. Too close to temptation!
B. Tampered with God’s Word
1. Left out “freely” added “or touch it”
2. Softened the consequences –“lest you die” vs. “you shall surely die”
3. Four steps to disobedience:
1. Saw

3. Ate
4. Gave
A. Eve was deceived –Adam flat out disobedience!

The Sin –the Consequences

▪Eyes opened –loss of innocence
▪Naked –ashamed and self conscience
▪Hid from God –afraid, guilt sets in, communion is broken –Psalm 139:7
▪Blaming and accusing (vs. 13-14)
The Struggle –Cursed!
