Control for troubled Hearts
"Let not your hearts be troubled" - commandment from the Lord Jesus Christ
Jesus never promised us life without trouble,
He promised we could have an untroubled heart even in a troubled life.
present – passive – imperative
"Let not your heart continue to be agitated" (Wuest translation)
Ταράσσω, tarassó: stirred up; agitated – roiling waters
Also used:
Pool – crippled man (John 5:4)
Lord Jesus Christ - "Now My soul is troubled" (John 12:27)
A command, our response:
Whenever God gives a command, He gives the capability through the Spirit to keep the command
Would never give you a command you can't keep
If Jesus says, "Stop being troubled!" We can stop being troubled!

Cure for troubled Hearts
Jesus Christ doesn’t just tell us to stop worrying; He gives us reasons why we should not be troubled
Think of Who we know
John 14:1 NLT "Don't be troubled. You trust God, now trust in me.
"You believe in God, believe also in me": NKJV
Think of Where You’ll Go
John 14:2-4 In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? (3) And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. (4) And you know the way to where I am going.
The Bible speaks of heaven 532 times
Country; heavenly country: speaking of its vastness (See Hebrews 11:16)
City: speaking of the innumerable people (See Hebrews 11:16; Hebrews 12:22)
Kingdom: God is King, reigning over all
Paradise: indescribable beauty
Place of rest: end of toil, tribulation, temptation,
Jesus calls it “My Father’s house
Revelation 21:10-17 (10) And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great, high mountain, and showed me the holy city Jerusalem coming down out of heaven from God, (11) having the glory of God, its radiance like a most rare jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal… (15) And the one who spoke with me had a measuring rod of gold to measure the city and its gates and walls. (16) The city lies foursquare; its length the same as its width. And he measured the city with his rod, 12,000 stadia (2300KM). Its length and width and height are equal. (17) He also measured its wall, 144 cubits (66M thick) by human measurement, which is also an angel's measurement.
John 14:2-3 In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? (3) And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.
A physical place –
Dimensional - cube
Huge
Dwelling places
A personal place
… a place for you…
Prepared for you
A place of relationship
My Father’s house
Home for us – forever!
What make a home? Those who are in the home.
A Promised Place
I will come again and will take you to myself
Certainty for troubled Hearts
