Ruby Kholifah is the director of the Asian Muslim Action Network in the country of Indonesia. AMAN works towards empowering women to positions of leadership in Islamic communities. AMAN promotes nonviolence, interfaith cooperation, and an inclusive, progressive interpretation of Islam. Ruby works to prevent gender violence and the suppression of women's rights. She was featured on the BBC's series 100 Women.
