Maha Al-Asaker is a Kuwaiti born photographer and visual artist living in New York City. Her recent book, Women of Kuwait, depicts portraits of Kuwaiti women in their bedrooms. The project has gained her international attention, including features in popular magazines like Rolling Stone. We spoke about her past and present projects, life in Kuwait, changing stereotypes of Arab and Kuwaiti women, and much more.
