I recorded this mix last summer, a little while after guest DJing with Zach at Nowhere Bar on East 14th St. for his Cruise Control party. I spent an inordinate amount of time on it and, when I listened back to my recording, I wasn’t happy with some of it. Some of the mixes/transitions, some of the sound levels, etc. So I decided to put it off and maybe re-record it later. I still haven’t, but I’ve decided to now just go ahead and post the warts-and-all recording. It’s still great fun. The mixes I make and post on soundcloud aren’t anything like I’d play out in public. They’re more home/headphone/deep listening kinda things. But this mix is actually what I do play out. This is pretty much most of what I played that night. Recreated for you. With some warts. Tho probably far less warts than when I was actually playing the records that night. Some of the mixes/transitions are super-tight tho, I must say. Anyway, enjoy! It’s fun fun fun.
