The project is intended to capture Americans' impressions and stories about their small-town and rural neighborhoods, waterways, personal experiences, and cultural traditions.
What is your favorite memory of living in a small town?
"I like Weirton because almost everybody's friendly, and Weirton is where I've been living, and where I go to school. I like it because my teachers are nice to me. I do great at my school, and then I just like it very much because it's just everybody in Weirton is family.
What about your church family?
Well where I go to church at, every Sunday before we start church, then we have refreshments, and then we go to church, and then we sing a couple of songs, and the pastor comes. Then he starts preaching. I take my Bible and turn to the pages that he tells us to go to.
And do you enjoy that?
Yes."
