R. Gopalakrishnan:
R. Gopalakrishnan has a distinguished educational background with a degree in physics from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata, engineering from IIT Kharagpur, and an Advanced Management Program from Harvard Business School. His career in management spans over five decades, beginning in 1967.
Gopalakrishnan has held significant roles including Chairman of Unilever Arabia, Managing Director of Brooke Bond Lipton, Vice Chairman of Hindustan Lever, and Director of Tata Sons. He also serves as an independent director for Press Trust of India (PTI) and Castrol India.
Hrishikesh Bhattacharyya:
Hrishikesh Bhattacharyya is a seasoned management consultant, educator, and author with a career spanning fifty years. He served as Senior Vice President at Unilever, working from their European headquarters. Throughout his extensive career, Bhattacharyya has established a reputation for his expertise in management and strategic foresight. His insights and experience have been instrumental in shaping business strategies and guiding organizational transformation.
He served with Hindustan Unilever for 35 years, holding various leadership roles including Chairman of Brazil and other key positions across different divisions. Mr. Bhattacharyya was also a visiting faculty at The Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan from 2004 to 2009.
Mr. Bhattacharyya holds a BA Hons in Economics from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai, and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta.
For the past 20 years, he has been working as a management consultant and is based in the Chicago area.
