Description

Influenced by a great artist and a wonderful album.

Sometimes I feel so lonely
I guess we're all wrapped up in ourselves
And that's the reason why
Sometimes I cry and nobody seems to notice
Here in the 21st Century
We've come so far, yes I must agree
We used to kill each other with our bare hands
It's so much easier now
But I don't understand
Is it real?
Or just the way I am
That makes me feel
Like a stranger in a strange land
Going nowhere making no plans
Like I've built my life on sand
And the tide is rushing in too fast
No matter what I do it won't turn back
Kick the dust off my shoes again
Find myself another town
But then what if the people are still the same
Guess there's somebody knew to blame
Here and now in the modern world
We're still stood around with our flags unfurled
We can reach up high
We can touch the stars
But can we save ourselves
We can't see that far
Oh is it real
Or just the way we are that makes me feel
Like a stranger in a strange land
Going nowhere making no plans
Like I've build my life on sand
And the tide is rushing in too fast
No matter what I do it won't turn back
And if we're all a part of God's great big family
Well where does that leave me?
Up against a wall, trying to make some sense of it all
