The first of Samuel Ogilvie’s case files transports Laura back to 1879, when the Inspector and Luc were still in the employ of Scotland Yard. Working alongside Detective Davies, they investigate the bizarre appearance of severed toes at several locations across London. Deciphering the cryptic link between the locations, they soon find themselves travelling to a butcher’s shop, where a gruesome discovery and a fiery new acquaintance await them…
