Description

Jack talks to author Toby Manning (@TobyManning) about his new book Mixing Pop and Politics: A Marxist History of Popular Music, out now from Repeater Books. Naturally, a very JFR-brained understanding of "pop" is applied to the conversation, which focuses on the Rolling Stones and Paul Weller as case studies in the connections between popular music and political ideology.

(Couldn't resist getting Toby's thoughts on the Tom York situation at the end.)
