Biblical fasting is abstaining from food for a spiritual purpose. We are going after Him when we fast. It’s not about what we are depriving ourselves of but rather what we are prioritizing. Prayer and fasting do not move and manipulate God to do something that He wasn’t planning on doing, it moves our hearts into alignment with Him. We fast to become better people because we get more of Him!
