Description

When the Israelites went to spy out the land – Numbers 13 – they were told to find out if the people there were strong or weak, if they dwelt in camps or strongholds, and check if the land was rich or poor. God never lied to them about who was inhabiting the land instead He said, “Be of good courage!” It was true that they could overcome the land and possess it – as God had already commanded – but the strength of the people, the citied they dwelt in, and the fruitful land was also true. They saw the fruitfulness of the land but were afraid of the people that dwelt there. What they believed about possessing the land was overcome by what they saw in the land. The presence of opposition does not negate the truth of what God has said! Are you hungrier for the life God has for you or are you more afraid of the opposition?
