Current trends in higher education around increasing part-time faculty, how this effects students and teachers, and how union-organizing can fight back.

Cindy Polinsky - AFT VT field rep for higher education - union rep for state of VT and 25 years of experience in the labor movement.
Joe Berry is the author of Reclaiming the Ivory Tower: Organizing adjuncts to change higher education. He is a retired contingent labor educator from U of IL and City College of SF and has taught also in IA and PA. He has worked with all the major unions that organize contingent faculty and is presently the retiree rep on the Exec. Bd. of AFT 2121 at City College of San Francisco. He lives in both Berkeley, CA and Jamaica, VT. He currently (Fall 2017) teaches labor studies at Ton Duc Thang U in Ho Chi Minh City in Viet Nam.
Kathleen Moore is mediator, counselor, and coach, and has been teaching at the Community College of Vermont for more than 10 years.
