Description

Sarah Cooper, a relentless cyclist from Urbandale, Iowa, doesn't know where her drive comes from. "I need to do this," she says, "and I will think about why later.” Cooper, 45, is one of the best ultra-distance cyclists in the country. The mother of four kids, ages 12 to 16, trains almost exclusively on gravel back roads. "I train on that and have not had any trouble with a mountain," she says. Her training will be put to the test at the end of July as she competes in the 3,000-mile Race Across America (RAAM). We also hear from Craig hite with Main Street Lansing about hosting RAGBRAI as the ending town on the Mississippi River and another segment of ParrotTalk with Andrea Parrott.
