In this show, Wattz Up! presented and provided information about policing: How to start a conversation between the community, youth and the police & the importance of how to interact with police and to know what’s happening in communities like Little Village.
So for that, Adilene Salgado attended to several community meetings in Little Village led by ENLACE which it’s part of GAPA (Grassroots Alliance for Police Accountability. Working to promote and change, factors contributing incarceration of people of color and seeking to transform the relationship between the CPD and the communities it serves, in order to realize equal access to safe and thriving neighborhood for all Chicago Residents.
You will listen to information from the meetings and interviews with active members of the community in Little Village from parents to Ceasefire Violence Prevention leaders, community and family servers, and a former community organizer from Enlace Chicago and Community Engagement Project for Police Accountability.
