Andreas Umland is an analyst at the Stockholm Centre for Eastern European Studies (SCEEUS) at the Swedish Institute of International Affairs and was an Associate Professor of Political Science at the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. His focus as a political scientist has been contemporary Russian and Ukrainian history, domestic politics and foreign affairs.
