Is it Animal, Mineral or Vegetable? Is it a Sam Raimi film or a Marvel production? As it is in this universe or another universe or the other one where the fingers typing this are actually sentient poodles, it's a combination of the two. The question of course comes as this: does Marvel Studios, the most successful company currently working within the Hollywood studio system, let a filmmaker who previously made a rival (but sort of friendly rival) studio so successful with their own franchise of Spider-Man movies and kicking into gear the Blockbuster era we still reckon with today? Does a commercial artist who when let loose can make ferociously entertaining phantasmagorias get to play here? And what about when [REDACTED] did that to [MAJORLY REDACTED]? Maybe we just want a passably good time at the movies.... or maybe (swishes hands around) it can be more?!?!
