Jack and Andrew of the Wages of Cinema welcome you all back to the third annual installment of HORROR in APRIL. Why April? Because we love horror movies and it's another half a year until October, so we're going to soak up the genre, dangnabbit! We have a different approach this year, however, as we will present the first segment as a NEW horror movie that is out now in select theaters and VoD (YouTube, iTunes, etc), and then we'll come back later this month with more reviews.
First up... what do you get when two filmmakers worship at the altars of John Carpenter (The Thing), George Romero (the "Dead" series), Lucio Fulci (The Beyond), Clive Barker (Hellraiser), and HP Lovecraft (uh... pick any given story that's about the f***ed up and bizarre and occult), and you may get something like THE VOID, a sort of horror smoothie if you will of disgusting special effects and bizarre imagery. Does it work? You'll have to listen to us to find out...
