When you're a storyteller, it helps more than anything to know the tools you're going to use and always use them to their utmost capabilities.
Whether it's choreographing laser-sword fights (not lightsaber, that's copyrighted apparently), putting someone into deep space (with some painterly inspiration believe it or not), or letting an actor go off about a dream he/she had the night before, Carlos del Rosario is interested in making comedy and dramatic films, infused with popular culture from many sections (many you wouldn't expect on first glance), to where audiences won't know what to expect and will laugh and cry and sometimes for the same scene(!)
He's the director of the television pilot LOSERS which hits the web December 11th, and has edited features, shorts and does a helluva lot with that Adobe After-Effects. Today we converse with Carlos about how he got to where he is and what comes next.
