The Glorious attribute - Ash Shakoor, Surah 14 v5, Surah 35 v30 & Surah 64 v17.
Allah SWT is thankful to the servant because of the Good he does for his own benefit- whilst the servant is thankful to those who do good to him.
A man carries his mother just as she carried him, Ibn Umar (ra) states, that’s not even equal to one breath/kick whilst you were in her womb (Baihaqi).
So how can one thank Allah SWT ?
Allah SWT will swiftly reward those who serve him with Gratitude, Surah 3v 144.
A person is afflicted with a calamity due to 2 reasons, a sin which will not be forgiven except by the calamity or because of a certain status which cannot be attained except by this calamity.
The astute will then seek forgiveness by different means and avenues!
