The souls were created when we took the covenant from our Lord (Surah 7 v172).
The Word; no father or sperm, glad tidings, a sign.
The Spirit; Perfectly pure, a way to honour, give life to dead hearts and the breath of Jibreel (as) blown onto Mariam (as).
