30 companions رضي الله عنهم were in the Masjid of Hims (Syria), amongst them Muazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه - Abu Muslim (r.h) said he was a youngster, kohl eyed with lightning with teeth, and remained silent. The people would turn to him to ask questions. When he spoke, Noor came out of his mouth.
Muazh رضي الله عنه was fond of Masjids, he رضي الله عنه said that prayer isn’t just standing as we know it.
For each step to the masjid, you are rewarded 10 good deeds. Whilst waiting for prayer, you are written amongst the ‘resolute’, ‘Qaniteen’, which is how Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى describes Maryam رضي الله عنها in Surah Tahreem. One is rewarded for praying until he reaches his home!
