Think of someone in your life that you love. One of your good friends. Someone you could call in the middle of the night in an emergency. Someone who’s allowed in your house when your dishes aren’t done. Someone who’s witnessed a family argument or is safe with your emotion. Someone who holds you accountable. Someone who knows what you are praying about right now. Hold that thought!
There's a man Jesus loved named Lazarus. You'd think this man would get special perks and extra health and protection. After all, his dear friend is the Savior of the World. But the story goes a little differently. The way Jesus loves Lazarus is with a completely different set of priorities. Holy ones. How do you define and what do you expect of love? Full stop.
The Lord has something special for us, so let's open His Word together and be encouraged and renewed with hope and vigor to live for the Glory of God because of His great love.
