Jesus is two days old. He is doing all the things babies do when they are fresh in the world - crying, eating, sleeping, more crying, pooping, and just flat out being adorable. Mary and Joseph were doing all the things parents do when they have a baby two days old - crying of joy, eating a little, holding their baby, not sleeping a wink, crying from pain and recovery, staring at the gift and mystery in front of them, and falling all the more in love with their new child. This is day two. Not glamorous. Not glitzy. Raw and real, yet beautiful. A messy wonder.
This is probably what this year has felt like to most. A messy wonder. Raw and real. Full of joy and loss, stress and laughter. But still God is moving in the midst of this. And that is what I want to explore together. How has God shown up in your life this year? In the raw and real moments?
