Our New Series for the Summer: Characters of the New Testament Living Out the Words and Ways of Jesus. Shorter Version? "Show Me!” Show me Timothy, show me Priscilla, Philemon, Barnabas, Phoebe, Mary….What’s it look like to walk with Jesus? Show me! For Timothy, it was learning the words and ways of Jesus through his adopted spiritual father, Paul. Paul treated Timothy as a beloved son. He believed in him. He taught him. He encouraged him. This has been a tough year for all of us. We all need a mentor like Paul to encourage us to keep the faith, fight the fight. Timothy was a young man in his faith when Paul brought him along on his journeys. As a result of that relationship, Timothy finished out his life well. Recent surveys point to a majority of young people in the church ditching their faith by their sophomore year in college. Do you know why? Do you know why they don’t finish well like Timothy?
