Watch our River Kids as they share with us the Christmas Story with us. Then, I'll put forth my best effort to follow their dazzle with a message about a handful of shepherds who leave the nighttime darkness of their fields to find the light emanating from the manger bed of Jesus. They heard the good news from an angel, they took the initiative, they got up, and they went to see. At this stage of the Advent season, you may be plowing ahead full steam; or you also could be weighed down with all the expectations that come with this time of the year. Those few nameless [at least to us] shepherds can lead us into a fresh moment of delight and wonder as we anticipate Christmas anew. Read the story again, in Luke 2:1-20.
