Acts 9: Better Call Saul!
Yes, that's my title; yes, I'm stoked to have an excuse to use it in a sermon; and yes, it sort-of fits. This entire series has been about God-initiated, God-sustained, and God-accomplished massive ministry adventures. We've been talking a bunch about verbs: "jumping," "pushing," "going-standing-telling." This past couple months you've heard buckets of talk about great expectations from, for, and of our God. That's just what you get when you open your Bibles to Acts, your hands to one another, and your hearts to the Holy Spirit (I'm all about the lists of 3 in this blurb). THIS WEEK we try to wrap our heads and hearts around perhaps the most dramatic call of God in the entire sacred story-the calling of Saul/Paul of Tarsus. In this episode, we are going to behold radical metamorphosis of desire, harrowing disillusionment, and a massive re-direction of momentum. And you know we're going to be asking some big questions about our journey in life and with the Lord!
