Description

Psalm 19 crescendos with a surprising statement--the poet declares Scripture to be more valuable than gold and sweeter than honey. Now, those of us who are Christians know and believe that Scripture is important, but it’s something else entirely to say that it’s more desirable than gold and sweeter than honey. If we’re being honest, many of us think of and experience Scripture more like a child thinks of and experiences eating their vegetables. We might believe that the Scripture is essential, or at least useful, but that’s a far cry from saying that it’s beautiful. So what would it actually mean to delight in Scripture? How would we even begin? Join us as we begin our July teaching series on rhythms of Scripture with a teaching from Psalm 19:7-11 on Scripture, the Beautiful (True) Story.
