We are living in a time experiencing a tremendous leadership void. Questions like, “Where are the good leaders?", "Where are the men and women of character to lead the way?", "Who should we follow?", are gnawing on our souls. We desperately want to put our faith and trust in someone who can lead the way forward. I want to suggest we look to the one who is the source of all strength, the source of all comfort, the one who knows the way forward not just for tomorrow but every tomorrow after that. Hebrews says, Jesus has been "appointed heir of all things". That’s who I want to follow. Oh, and "through whom also he has made the world. And he is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power." That’s who I am going to follow into this next decade. How about you? We are embarking on the most significant stage of what I believe to be our church’s vision for the coming decades. We are calling it “The Art of Following Jesus.” Join us this weekend as I describe what that looks like for you and our entire church.
