Elijah pronounces victory over a society that has gone astray, the sacrifices split from fire, coming from heaven, which ultimately was a precursor to the greatest sacrifice of all. Mount Caramel will forever be remembered as the mountain of victory. Many years later, and even greater, victory will come on Mount Calvary.
