In this episode the instructional designers from Academic Innovation (Aaron Kraft, Steven Crawford, and Celia Coochwytewa) discuss the psychological gap that may occur between instructors and students in both online and in-person classrooms. We will share personal experiences from both an ID and instructor perspective for establishing presence while considering how instructional design is a component of instructor presence. Finally, we review the “quick n easy” ways to establish instructor presence online and in-person classrooms.
