Dancehall artist Iwaata pulled up to the Entertainment Report Podcast while in Toronto for a very engaging conversation about his life and career. During the interview, Iwaata spoke about growing up in Kingston and how his early experiences shaped his journey into music.

He reflected on performing on the legendary stage at Sting in 2014, and how iconic artists like Aidonia and Capleton influenced his style and approach to dancehall.

Iwaata also shared stories about meeting and collaborating with fellow dancehall star Intence, as well as recording his breakout hit Cut Off Jeans for producer Redboom Supamix. The conversation also touched on his bodies of work, including the projects Underrated and Words Not Enough, which helped solidify his place in the modern dancehall scene.

In addition, Iwaata discussed signing with Tryoton Music and the next phase of his career, along with many other stories from his journey in the music industry.
