Whether you are an early riser or a night owl, working at night can be very challenging.
I used to be a huge proponent for working at night, but I realized I was dead wrong. The best time to work is at 07:00 AM. It does not matter how well you feel during the night. You are more productive during the day.
If you develop a sleeping schedule where you go to bed early every single day and you wake up before 08:00 AM, you are more productive most likely. That was a huge game changer for me. Working during that time of the day is much healthier, there is less noise and you can work much faster than at night.
If you wake up earlier, you have better management of your day. You can avoid wasting time in traffic by going to the gym or a restaurant in a slightly different time of the day. Moreover, you are in sync with other businesses and stores around you.
In addition to that, this healthy schedule prevents you from getting sick. Everything fits perfectly in your schedule, if you wake up early.
However, there are situations when you have to work at night. You may have clients who are in a completely different time zone and that completely messes up your schedule.
So, sometimes you have to work through the night to produce as much volume as possible and meet the demands of the market. But, people working these irregular shifts for prolonged periods of time can suffer from a variety of health issues.
Sleep at least 8 hours a day. Everyone who is tells you that he can sleep less, does not know what he is talking about. Don’t try it, because it’s not worth it. 8 a day of sleep is an absolute requirement.
Some people drink coffee all day and then sleep 4 hours a day and say that they feel great. But, if they stop drinking coffee, everything is completely messed up.
This lack of sleep can result in difficulty concentrating, which can heighten the risk of injury and many other health issues.
Night shift work may also interfere with the body's ability to repair the damage that occurs from normal cellular processes. The suppression of melatonin, which is the hormone responsible for regulating the internal body clock, may play a role.
If your sleeping schedule is already messed up, there is a solution.
Consult yourself with a doctor. He may prescribe you some melatonin to help you get to bed early and sleep better for several nights in a row. Eventually, that will help you have a good sleeping schedule that will keep you healthier, your immune system stronger and yourself more productive in general.
