RADICALL | UNDERCOVER
From the intro you might be forgiven for thinking this is going to be just another soulful d&b tune, then all of a sudden it drops heavy and submerges into darkness. With its clean kicks and popping snares in a catchy stepping groove, this is a heavy neurofunk track wearing a cloak of mystical and sensual musicality.
OPERON | PEACE BE UNTO YOU
Funky, live-sounding drums - reminiscent of the classic Klute style - marry up with sad strings, vocal expressions and dirty bass. Again, Operon has demonstrated a touch of class by the manner in which the track has been constructed, subtly but surely building the vibe up and down whilst injecting crafty old school fills throughout.
MARSO & GALA | RESCUE
As Marso and Gala hail from Siberia, one wonders what inspires their epic and charismatic sound... perhaps frozen landscapes, icy winds, or tranquillity - all of which seem to be captured in Rescue. Taking you on a long, relaxing journey with its lazy groove, ambient pads, and a meandering bassline vibing off harmonic chords, this is a tune to kick back with and play over again.
FUTURE ENGINEERS | EXHALE (OPERON REMIX)
Operon’s Exhale remix is a thoughtful head-nodder, retaining the melancholic, ethereal and technological elements of the original, whilst freshening and twisting the vibe. Swinging rhythm bouncing off bubbling bass adds newfound momentum to the original.
