Advocates will be making their way to Albany this week to call for several pieces of police reform including increasing transparency through reform of the 50a law. Cynthia Conti-Cook, Staff Attorney with the Criminal Special Litigation Unit at the Legal Aid Society, explained what the law does and why it needs to be reformed.
