Yes, Britta Phillips was the original voice of Jem and the Holograms. That’s really fun to say. She dropped into the band Luna in the late 90s, married the dude behind the mic, formed Dean & Britta as a side project that became the main project, and has now - at last - got around to her own solo album, and it’s one of my favorites of the year.
