In an exclusive interview with TheRightDoctors on Emcure AICOG tv,Dr. Narendra Malhotra, past president of FOGSI and national coordinator for FOGSI for the current year 2018-19, managing director of Global Rainbow Health in Agra, spoke about women's unspoken problems in India. This is what he said:
' Her problems are unspoken because of the Indian social structure. They feel that this is to be silently born by them.
They have to silently bear the leaking of urine which they have. They apply pads and just do not go conferences, when they cough they are very scared. They do not laugh very loudly because they are very scared.
Then there another problem of constant itching on the vulva and the vagina, which does not go or by any medical treatment so it is just constantly
Diseases like lichen have no treatment as of now. So these are the diseases which can now be treated by certain newer modalities.
I am surprised that “Kab se problem tha ?” “Saat saal se tha” Arey since 20 years and she is coming at 75. Now I cannot operate because she is high risk. She is diabetic. So that is another major problem which women have to tackle.
These are some of the women’s unspoken problems, which they all suffer and it leads to severe mental agony leads to psychological disturbance leads to familial disturbance.
Even the doctors need to educated that women have some problems, which can tackled medically, surgically, and noninvasively'
