Bio
"Ege Dündar aka Anatolian Man, is a Turkish writer/musician born in Ankara. He plays the piano and the guitar and produced the weekly music show ‘Alternatif’ in Numberone TV between 2011-2013. His mixes have been published in various platforms, such as DeepHouse Italy, 8-DAY Montreal, Suprematic Records, Groove Podcast, Sweet Space, Like That Underground Radio (LTU), Melodic Deep, Past & Future Records and Electronic Groove. He lives in exile in London due to political repression in Turkey, working at global NGO PEN International the last five years, campaigning for free expression. He is the founder and director of the young writers’ network İlkyaz."

"Rincon de la Victoria
Corner of victory where the reconquering of Spain ended.
Like my own wars, where the East and West within, clashed constantly, like the waves between Morocco and Spain.
The loss was not men gallantly dying,
Or women quietly paying costs of war,
But a slow yielding, to the overriding fate of geography.
Liberty never attained but searched ceaselessly, at the cost of many,
As bitterness,
like rotten food, settles in our taste;
The cruel state of our world today, we digest every day.
As we remember the times "when the vitality of the shell, concealed the rot within"*
Rincon de la Victoria, a truce from wars sure to resume again,
Until then, this shoreline is meant for the mend,
From what's been spent: A salvation by beauty.
Eventually just to be,
Feels hard earned when it shouldn't have been.
But there are corners, where victory prevails,
If you're not in it to win anything,
Where one is enabled, if for a while
To live in a long-held dream. "
