'Acumen has long been making house music that keeps DJs playing great music and keeps dancers moving and grooving. He is a French producer who runs his own Time Has Changed label and after his fine recent full length album is back in action with a great new EP that features a remix from Rafael Cerato.
Non Sense kicks us off with seven minutes of deep, resonant house that has creepy vocals and angelic pads off in the distance. It is marching and moody and after it comes The Sanctuary. This one is a turbo charged deep space epic with wiry synths and cosmic melodies all whipping around a driving drum line.
Then comes a fine and majestic ten minute rem ix from Rafael Cerato that layers up rasping synths and glassy keys into something that really gets you going. It is a real highlight for any set and adds a great new angle to the original.
Last of all, Destino slips into a deeper groove, with emotive male vocals bringing a subtle sense of euphoria. This is expressive and fresh house music that really gets your hairs standing on end.'
