Both have been part of the Downtown Eastside neighbourhood in Vancouver for almost 30 years, and both were involved in producing *Red Women Rising*, a new publication in which Indigenous women in what has been called the "ground zero for violence against Indigenous women" come together to talk about injustice, survival, leadership, and the changes that must happen to end violence against Indigenous women and girls.
