Description

Josh is joined by Bond correspondent Fred Kolb and recurring guest Elijah Howard to revisit the Pierce Brosnan era of James Bond films. First (Beginning-47:33), they discuss why they unanimously think Goldeneye is the best of the bunch despite revisiting the Soviets as villains well after the conclusion of the Cold War and how the film was aided by Sean Bean’s turn as a villain. Then (47:13-1:14:16), they talk about "Tomorrow Never Dies" and its message about the dangers of media conglomerates as well as its unique combination of Bond girls. Lastly (1:14:16-1:40:00), they discuss the much derided “Die Another Day” and whether any redeeming qualities stood out despite the movie’s much discussed gaudy CGI and controversial plot choices. Finally (1:40:01-End), they give their most recent streaming recommendations!
