This is my entry into the Beat Collective Challenge set on 21-11-2022 where we are given two or three samples and challenged to incorporate them into an original track.
This month the samples were provided by Rose Wintergreen:-
- S1 vocal singing wordlessly (processed with Magic Dice)
- S2 is a beat I made using recordings I made of a tram, my front door and house keys
- S3 vocal spoken - no processing
Sample 1 is the 'ahhhs' in the opening few bars, the main breakdown and then I chopped it up and placed it throughout the 2nd half of the track after the breakdown so it makes a rhythmic pattern from the short chops of the 'ahhhs'.
Sample 2, sound samples, is just in the opening three seconds of the track. I intend to develop it a bit and use it in the breakdown and the outro.
Sample 3, vocal I've used throughout in full, chopped, reversed and any way I could use or change them!!
