This is my entry for the Beat Collective Challenge for 16th Feb 2025 in which participants are given three samples and the challenge id to incrporate those samples into a new piece of music, any genre.
This time the samples are from Senor Picante and comprise:-
Sample 1 - Synth Pad
Sample 2 - Glitchy Drums
Sample 3 - Rolling Snares
I incorporated all three samples in the two breakdowns and in addition I sliced the Rolling Snares to midi and made separate hits from them which I used as fills at various points un the track.e.g 1:20 & 2:50. I wanted to do a lot more with them and create fill patterns and extra percussion from the Glitchy Drums too but I haven't had time. I also used the Synth Pad as an added ambience sound which plays throughout the track. (edited)
